This may occur when a client believes that their website needs more bandwidth or less bandwidth depending on the traffic that the site receives. There are many more instances when an upgrade or downgrade becomes necessary. Thankfully, upgrading or downgrading an account in WHM is a relatively easy task that every administrator will have no problem doing.

The tutorial below will guide you on how to easily downgrade or upgrade an account in WHM:

1. The first step is to log in to WHM.

2. Once you are logged in, it is time to learn how to upgrade or downgrade a hosting account in WHM.

There comes a time when an administrator must delete hosting packages in a server, especially when a customer decides to stop using the Internet hosting service. There are also instances when customers demand changes in their hosting packages. These tasks can be done in WHM. This tutorial will walk you through the process of editing or deleting hosting packages in WHM.

Follow these simple steps and you are sure to edit or delete hosting packages without a hitch in WebHost Manager:

1. First and foremost, make sure that you are logged in to WHM.

2. Let’s begin with how to edit an existing hosting package. Click the packages link.

3. Then, click edit packages.

4. You will be taken to a new screen that shows a list of the packages previously created in a WHM reseller plan. In this tutorial, there is only one package. Click on abc123c_bronze (the only package on the list). This is the package that you will edit.

5. Now, click on edit.

6. You are now on the edit package screen.

7. Scroll down to see all the properties associated with the chosen package.

8. Next, try changing a few values. First, change the Max FTP Accounts field.

DNS Zones are the part of the Domain Name System where records of each existing zone are organized. DNS Zones are particularly important in resolving DNS problems that servers may encounter. WHM allows administrators to manually manage their DNS Zones, although the software, by default, is configured to manage DNS zones on its own. Due to the somewhat complicated process of managing DNS zones, manual management is not recommended, especially for less experienced administrators.

The following tutorial provides administrators a step-by-step guide on managing DNS zones in WHM:

1. Log in to WHM.

Take note that there are few instances when manual modification of DNS zones is necessary. Proceed with caution when modifying DNS zones on your own.

2. Click the DNS functions link.

3. Then, in the next screen, click the “add a DNS zone” icon.

4. You would then be taken to the screen where you can add new DNS zones. This process will, however, not be covered by the tutorial.
