Creating and Managing Support Tickets in WHMCS

WHMCS stands for Web Hosting Manager’s Complete System. It is a system which, among other things, provides support tools. It has a ticket system that allows the user to effortlessly manage his clients’ requests.

To learn how to create and manage support tickets in WHMCS simply follow the instructions below:

1. The tutorial below will show you how to create and manage support tickets in WHMCS.

2. Log in to WHMCS. From the Client Area, select “My Support Tickets” link.

3. From the “My Support Tickets” page, click on another link that says “Submit Ticket”.

4. The Submit Tickets page from the Support Tickets area is where you can create tickets and send them to the concerned department, which is either billing or technical support.

Now choose the department where you want to send a ticket to.

5. You will be taken to the “Submit Ticket” page where you will be asked to input some details about your ticket.

6. In the “Subject” field, enter a subject for the ticket.

7. Scroll the page down.

8. Enter the details of the ticket on the box provided directly below the “Urgency” option.

9. At the very bottom of the page, enter the security code into an empty box found right beside the codes.

10. Click on the button that says “Submit”.

11. That’s it. You have successfully completed your support ticket. The page will show the ticket number you have just created, and a copy of the ticket will also be emailed to you.

Tick the “My Support Tickets” link once more.

12. You can now see in the table the ticket you have just created. The table shows the date the ticket was created, the department it was sent to, the subject, the urgency, and the status.

Click on the link found under the “Subject” column to manage the ticket.

13. You will be taken to the “View Ticket” page for that particular. Now scroll the page down.

14. In the “Reply” box, you can add more details to the ticket by typing them there.

Or you can select the closed ticket by clicking on the button that says “Close Ticket” found directly above the “Reply” box.

15. Scroll up and click on the link that says “Client Area” found below the WHMCS banner.

16. This is the end of the demo. By this time, you already know how to create and manage support tickets in WHMCS.
