Virtuozzo is a flexible software application primarily used for enterprise server visualization that can be used for a number of virtual private server functions.

In this tutorial you will be taught how to backup and restore your virtual private server from the Power Panel:

1. First, log in to your Virtuozzo Power Panel.

2. Click the Maintenance link at the left side of the window.

3. You can supervise all of your Virtual Private Server Backups here in the maintenance page. You can either create a backup, delete one, or restore a backup. To create a new backup of your Virtual Private Server click the New Backup button.

4. A small window will pop up in the screen. Click OK to continue.

5. In the next window, you will be able to know if the VPS is backing-up by looking at the upper side of the window. If it is backing-up you will see a “VPS is backing-up at the moment”. Then click the Maintenance link to refresh the page.

6. You will now see the new backup that is listed at the bottom of the page. You can restore a VPS from these back-ups by selecting it and click the Restore VPS button.

7. To see further information on the back-up, click the back-up link.

8. Click the Restore VPS button if you want to restore the back-up.

9. You will be directed to a new window warning you that restoring a VPS may cause a loss of data. If you are sure that the back-up will not cause any loss of important data, then click the Restore button.

10. The program will now restore the VPS and display the “VPS is restoring at the moment” at the top of the window. If you are using your VPS’ IP address to connect, you may have to reconnect it with the IP address from the back-up after the VPS has been restored.

11. When the VPS is finished restoring, click the Maintenance link again to refresh the page.

12. If you want to delete a back-up, select it by clicking at small white box at the side of the back-up.

13. Scroll right.

14. Then click the Remove Back-ups button.

15. A smaller window will pop-up, click the OK button to confirm the deletion.

16. You have now successfully deleted the previously created back-up.

17. Click the Top link at the top of the window to return to the main screen.

18. Lastly, always remember to log out after using the Power Panel.
