A domain pointer or domain alias is another domain name that points to your main domain. It lets you own more than one domain name that all leads to your website.
The steps below will show you how to create a domain alias in Helm:
1. Log in to your Helm control panel.
2. Click the “My Domains” icon in the control panel.
3. The “Domains” page will then appear shortly. In this page, you will see a list of domains that you can manage in your account.
4. In your list of domains, select the domain that you wish to create the alias.
5. The “Edit Domains” page will then show. Click the “Domain Aliases” icon and you will then be directed to the “Domain Aliases” page.
6. To start creating the alias of the previously selected domain, click “Add.”
7. Then, enter the domain name that you wish to point to your main domain in the “Domain Alias Name” field.
8. Click “Save” for the changes to take effect.
9. The recently set up alias will then show on your list of Aliases if you have successfully created it.
10. You can always return to this “Domain Aliases” page whenever you wish to modify existing aliases or to create more aliases. Just follow the previous steps so you can do the task with ease.
