How to Create New Hosting Plan in Helm

Helm 4 is a hosting provider that supports web hosting across different platforms and servers. There are different types of web hosting plans that are available in web hosting services. Some of the types of web hosting include: full-featured hosting, web hosting, application-specific hosting, content format and other types specifically designed for game servers, DNS, e-mails and remote backup. Most of the time, these web hosting services come with a domain name that users can purchase as well. In Helm 4, you can create different hosting plans and customers would be able to purchase these plans through their account. Depending on the available resources and limits for a specified plan, you can configure the settings in Helm 4.

How to Create a New Hosting Plan in Helm

1. Log in to your Helm account.

2. The Main Menu page is now being shown. You can see here the different icons to access the different areas of your control panel.

3. Click the My Plans icon.

4. You will now be directed to the Plans homepage. This is where you can view the different plans that are set up in your account. You can add or delete plans in here too. To create a new hosting plan, Click Add.

5. Enter a plan name on the Plan Name box.

6. In the Template Name drop-down box, select a particular Plan Template that you wish to start from.

7. Scroll down.

8. Click Save.

9. You will now be directed to the Limits plan page. This page shows the resources that have been assigned to the plans and their corresponding limits.

10. Enter the total Bandwidth.

11. Enter the total Diskspace available to the system.

12. Enter the resource limits as you want to set them up for the plan.

13. Enter the maximum bandwidth.

14. Enter the maximum diskspace.

15. Enter the domain aliases.

16. Enter the domain.

17. Enter the IP Address.

18. Enter the Parked Domains.

19. Enter Sub Domains.

20. Under the web category, you will be able to view the different options available.

21. There are also several options that you can choose to make available for the plan.

22. Tick the box beside Ability to backup domain files.

23. Choose Ability to change default documents.

24. Tick the box beside Ability to change directory browsing.

25. Tick the box beside Ability to manage HTTP error messages.

26. Choose Ability to manage MIME types.

27. Tick the box beside Enable DNS Editor if you want it to be available for the plan.

28. We can now set the Mail options under the Mail category.

29. Click Unlimited beside the Maximum Bandwidth option.

30. Click the Unlimited box beside the Maximum Diskspace option.

31. Enter the Maximum Mail Distribution Lists.

32. Enter the Maximum POP3 Accounts.

33. Click Unlimited beside the Maximum Bandwidth under the FTP category.

34. Enter the FTP account.

35. Set the Database options under the Database category.

36. Enter the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 MSSQL 2005 Databases.

37. Enter the MySQL 5 Maximum MYSQL5 Databases.

38. Tick the box beside Microsoft SQL Server 2005 MSSQL 2005 Database Size.

39. Tick the box beside Microsoft SQL Server 2005 MSSQL 2005 Database Users.

40. Click Save when finished.

41. You will now be directed to the Add Fee page. If you wish to charge a setup fee for a plan, enter the setup fee on the box.

42. Click the With Recurring to enable recurring billing for the plan.

43. Enter the Recurrence Interval.

44. Enter the Recurring Fee.

45. Click Save.

46. Click the Back button.

47. You are now in the Plans page and the new hosting plan has been created. You will now be able to view the list of plans available for the account. You can add or edit as many plans in this page as you wish. Click the Home link to return to the homepage.
