There comes a time when an administrator must delete hosting packages in a server, especially when a customer decides to stop using the Internet hosting service. There are also instances when customers demand changes in their hosting packages. These tasks can be done in WHM. This tutorial will walk you through the process of editing or deleting hosting packages in WHM.

Follow these simple steps and you are sure to edit or delete hosting packages without a hitch in WebHost Manager:

1. First and foremost, make sure that you are logged in to WHM.

2. Let’s begin with how to edit an existing hosting package. Click the packages link.

3. Then, click edit packages.

4. You will be taken to a new screen that shows a list of the packages previously created in a WHM reseller plan. In this tutorial, there is only one package. Click on abc123c_bronze (the only package on the list). This is the package that you will edit.

5. Now, click on edit.

6. You are now on the edit package screen.

7. Scroll down to see all the properties associated with the chosen package.

8. Next, try changing a few values. First, change the Max FTP Accounts field.

9. Then, modify the Max Email Accounts.

10. Let’s also change the Max Databases.

11. Then, the Max Sub Domains.

12. Go to the Bandwidth field and change the value from 10,000 to 20,000 megabytes.

13. After making all the changes you want, click on the edit button.

14. That completes the editing process. You will be taken to a new screen that shows the name of the package that was modified.
Now, to delete a package that was previously created, click on the packages link.

15. Then, in the next screen, click on the delete packages link.

16. The delete package screen will appear with a panel showing the list of packages that may be deleted. Click on the package you want to delete then click the delete button. Deleting a package will not delete the hosting accounts that were previously created using the package.
