How to Manage Your System Services in Power Panel for Resellers

This tutorial will teach you how to efficiently manage your system services in Power Panel.

How to Manage Your System Services in Power Panel

1. Log in to your Virtuozzo Power Panel.

2. To begin managing your system services in Power Panel, go to the VPS Services menu on the left side of the page. Click on the “System Services” link.

3. You will be directed to the System Services page. In here, you will be able to see all the services listed on your VPS, as well as their status – whether they are Running or Stopped. The third column from the services will show you how a specific service may be started – Automatic, Manual, or Disabled.

4. Scroll down to view more of the services listed. At the bottom of the list, you will also see “Start,” “Restart,” and “Stop” buttons.

5. Try starting the DNS Client service, since it is currently Stopped. To select this service, click on the box next to it. Then, click on the “Start” button.

6. You will then be notified that the DNS Client service has been scheduled to start.

7. Scroll down. You will now find that the status of the DNS Client service is Running.

8. To stop this service, just select DNS Client again by clicking on the box next to it. Then, click the “Stop” button.

9. A pop up window will ask you if you are sure you want to stop the service you selected. Click the “OK” button to confirm.

10. You will then be notified that the DNS Client service has been scheduled to stop.

11. Keep in mind that you cannot Start a service that is already Running, nor can you Stop a service that is not Running in the first place.

12. Click on the “Top” link to return to the main screen. Now you know how to manage your system services in Power Panel. If you wish to know more about each of the services, check the Help pages of your Virtuozzo Power Panel.
