How to Modify an Account in WebHost Manager (WHM)

The properties that can be changed for an account in WebHost Manager (WHM) are the cPanel Theme, the number of email accounts allowed, the mailing list, the MySQL database, the FTP account, subdomains, parked domains and addon domains.

To modify a WHM account, follow the guidelines below:

How to Modify an Account in WebHost Manager (WHM)

1. Log in to WebHost Manager (WHM).

2. To modify or edit an existing WHM hosting account, click the “Modify an Account” link at the left lower part of the screen.

(The Modify an Account screen can now be viewed.)

3. In the “Account Selection “window, choose the account to notify by clicking it. For this example anewdomain.com is selected.

4. After selecting an account, the account information will appear at the right side of the “Account Selection” window.

5. Scroll down and click the “Modify” button.

(The window “Editing user anewdoma” will appear, wherein the account properties can be changed.)

6. To change the max SQL databases, click the box beside it.

7. In the box, encode the number desired. For this example, 20 is typed in the box.

8. To modify the number of max email accounts, click the box beside it. Then type the frequency chosen. The example shows 150.

To edit the max SubDomains, click the box beside it and type the digits preferred.

(Other available options can also be changed by clicking and typing the desired numbers at the box provided.)

9. To confirm the selections, click the “Save” button at the lower part of the window.

The window will then redirect the user to a new window indicating the message “Modifications Complete.” Meaning the changes has already been applied.

(The user can access the Modify an Account screen anytime to upgrade customer accounts.)

10. Click the “Home” menu at the topmost part of the screen to return to the main menu.
