How to Mount Your VPS in Repair Mode in Power Panel

It would be wise to consult with your VPS provider first though, before taking on the responsibility of repairing your VPS. They might want to be the one to administer the repair for you.

This tutorial will tell you how to mount your Virtual Private Server (VPS) is in repair mode.

How to Mount Your VPS in Repair Mode

1. Login to your Virtuozzo Power Panel.

2. Go to the VPS Management menu on the left side of the page and click on the “Maintenance” button.

3. You will be directed to a new screen with a “Repair Mode” button as your option. Click this button.

4. Repairing your VPS solves problems you may have with the VPS functioning – this process is also called “Mounting the VPS in Repair Mode.” This means that a new VPS is momentarily created from scratch. It uses the same network and parameters as the VPS being repaired.

5. To continue with mounting the VPS in repair mode, click on the “Run Repair” button. Your VPS will then begin in repairing mode, copying all the files into the new VPS.

6. You can now use Secure Shell (SSH) to connect to your VPS, go to the repair directory, and try to fix the problem that arose. However, it is advisable that you check with your VPS provider before attempting any repair, since they may be the best ones to take care of the problem.

7. If you do decide to fix it though, click on the “Finish Repair” button after you make the repairs. This will unmount the VPS in repair mode.

8. Your VPS will then be in a stopped state. Check to see if you were able to successfully repair it.

9. Return to the main screen by clicking on the Top link. You now know how to mount your VPS in repair mode from your Power Panel.
