In dealing with the internet, an individual would eventually need to have several e-mail addresses. It is a hassle to go on checking each e-mail addresses for mail updates. cPanel has a means to make it possible to automatically transfer mail from e-mail address “A” to e-mail address “B” and vice-versa. This feature is called “E-mail Forwarding”.
This tutorial will teach you how to setup E-mail Forwarding in cPanel:
1. Login to cPanel
2. Click the Forwarders link located in the “Mail” section.
3. As you can see there are currently no forwarders setups in the account so let us set this up for a change. Click the Add Forwarder link.
4. After clicking the Add Forwarder link, you will be directed to the page where you can add a new E-mail Forwarder or sometimes called, “E-mail Redirect”. Click the textbox labeled as “Address to Forward:”
5. Type in the e-mail prefix and if you have more than one domain, probably a parked domain or an add-on, choose the one you want by clicking the combo box beside the e-mail prefix textbox.
6. Click the textbox labeled as “E-mail:”
7. Type in e-mail address you want to receive e-mails from the other. Click the Add Forwarder button.
8. The E-mail Forwarder has been successfully created! Now if mails are sent to the e-mail address u wrote in the e-mail prefix, it would be transferred to the address written in the textbox labeled as “E-mail:” Click the Go Back link.
9. You would then be directed to the page where you can see the forwarder you just made. You can delete forwarders by clicking the Delete link under the Functions section or add by clicking the Add Forwarder button.
10. You can also setup domain forwarders so that messages sent to addresses with a domain will be forwarded to the e-mail address.
11. Click the Home Button.
12. End of Tutorial. You are now certified knowledgeable with setting-up E-mail Forwarding.
