Promotions are a simple means to provide discounts to users for particular products or services. These promotions are only applicable for particular dates and periods of time. Promotions can be applied according to the various types. It can be a General promotion, a plan promotion or an extra feature promotion. It is mentioned that all promotions are only valid in a particular date and period of time. In this case, you will learn how to set up promotions by providing the starting date and time and when it will end. Also, minimum purchase and maximum usage per customer can be applied as well.

The following steps will be useful if you want to know how to set up promotions in Helm:

1. Login to the Helm control panel.

2. You can now start to learn how to set up promotions by clicking the My Shop icon in the control panel interface.

3. Then, click the Promotions icon.

4. You should be able see in the page that there are no promotions configured yet.

5. To add one up, click the Add button.

6. Provide a Promotion Code in the blank box provided. This promotion code is provided for people that want to retrieve their discount.

7. After that, provide the description of the promotion in the blank field provided for that.

8. There are three types of promotions that can be set up. These are the General Promotion, Plan Promotion and Extra Feature Promotion.

9. The discount can be percentage-based or a fixed amount.

10. Then, setup the type of promotion that you want. For instance, setup promotion using the Plan promotion.

11. Select the Plan name from the drop down list.

12. Provide the worth of the discount in the blank field provided.

13. Then, select Off Set up and Recurring Fee in the drop down list.

14. Promotions can be applied in certain duration. There are three types of Promotion duration. These are the following: Apply Once, Apply for Unlimited Duration and Apply for Specified Duration.

15. Limits can also be set up in the promotions using the three availability options such as minimum spend, maximum total, usage per customer and specific start and end dates.

16. After selecting all options that you need, click the Save button.

17. The promotion has been successfully set up and is now accessible to all people who are given the promotion code.

18. Click the Home button located at the upper left corner of the control panel to return to the Home page.

19. This is the end of the demo. You now know how to set up promotions in Helm control panel. You can set up as many promotions as you wish.
