How to Start/Stop/Reboot Your VPS in Power Panel

You may need to stop or reboot your Virtual Private Server (VPS) for various reasons, or start it after it has stopped. This tutorial will teach you how to do this in Power Panel. Keep in mind though that you should only make these changes when necessary in order to avoid problems in the system.

The instruction below will teach you how to start/stop/reboot your VPS in power panel:

How to Start/Stop/Reboot Your VPS in Power Panel

1. Login to Virtuozzo Power Panel.

2. After you have logged in, you will see that your VPS is currently running, based on the notification at the top of the page.

3. If you wish to stop or reboot it, click on the Start/Stop VPS link on the left side of the page.

4. You will then be directed to a page with four buttons: Start VPS, Restart VPS, Stop VPS, and Fast Stop VPS. Because your VPS is running at the moment, the Start VPS button is not available for clicking. This button only becomes available when the VPS is stopped. On other occasions when the VPS is repairing, mounting, starting, or stopping, none of the buttons is available for clicking.

5. For now, try restarting the VPS by clicking on the appropriate button. It will then be scheduled for reboot after a while. If you click on the Stop VPS button, there is a two-minute interval before the shutdown takes effect, during which the processes are stopping. If the VPS does not stop after this time frame, all processes will be forced to quit so it can stop. This will still take place even if the VPS ends up being damaged.

6. On the other hand, you may click on the Fast Stop VPS button if you already know that the VPS is corrupt, and do not need the two minute timeout. Return to the main screen by clicking on the Top link.
