In cPanel, there are means to trace an e-mail address and somehow keep track of how the mail server sends our messages to particular addresses. This can be done by using the cPanel feature called “E-mail Delivery Route”. E-mail delivery route will show you how the mail server attempts to send mails to addresses in or out of your server.

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Scroll down to locate the E-mail Delivery Route Icon in the Mail section.

3. Click the E-mail Delivery Route Icon/Link.

4. This page is where you can test e-mail addresses by tracing its route process from your server. This is important if you want to keep on track of the mail server’s processes and be able to troubleshoot accordingly if problem arises. Click the text box.

5. Type in an e-mail address then Click the Show Route button.

6. This page shows the route to the e-mail address you inputted from the server.

7. By using this feature of cPanel, you can determine if an error occurs within your server or the error is in the e-mail address destination. Click the Go Back link.

8. Click the Home Page button in the upper left corner.

9. End of Demo. You are now knowledgeable in tracing an E-mail address using E-mail delivery route.
