A snap in, in most cases, pertains to a tool that can be added to another tool and it will then perform as an element of the whole. In the case of software applications, it is a program created to perform as a modular part of another application. The snap-in also enables a user to organize settings that relate to particular computer, regardless of whoever uses them. As an administrator, he can utilize group strategies made with this snap-in tool to organize user rights, like whether users can alter the system time or they can store files included on the computer. The administrator can also organize which icons emerge on computer desktops and restrict user right of entry to the Control Panel. He can even organize Internet Explorer security locations for all users of specific computers. In a control panel like that for Helm, snap in is used to modify the information available in the left margin.
