cPanel has another feature better known as the Web Disk. The Web Disk is basically an application wherein you can manage your files. This is more than just having files from the internet. The Web Disk helps you drag and drop files from your local computer so it is like having an extra compartment in your hard drive. The Web Disk is like an extension of your local computer’s storage, which you can access, using a unique login and password for you security. The Web Disk allows you to move, create, copy, and delete files from your server just like how you manage your files in your local hard drive.
Here is a step-by-step guide that will help you to be familiar with Web Disk in cPanel:
1. This is a tutorial that will guide you on how to use Web disk in cPanel.
2. Log in to cPanel with your username and password. To learn about Web disk, scroll down.
3. Click the Web disk icon in the Files group.
4. It will open a new page about Web disk accounts.
5. In the Web Disk Accounts page, you will find a brief description on what is a Web Disk. Web Disk allows you to drag and drop files from your computer to your hosting account and you can navigate and manage these files just like on your local computer.
6. Enter a username that you want to use in the Login textbox.
7. Enter a password.
8. Reenter the password.
9. After doing all of these, click the “Create” button to have your own Web Disk account.
10. Click the “Go back” link to go back to the Web Disk account page. You will now find your new Web Disk Account listed under the Web Disk Account Management.
11. Click the “Access Web Disk” button.
12. Choose the Operating System or OS that you will use to view Web Disk. For example, you can choose Windows XP.
13. Just open the drop down list box under the Windows Icon.
14. Choose and click the Windows Xp.
15. To create a Web Disk shortcut on your desktop, all you need to do is click the “Click here and save to your Desktop” link.
16. A new window will pop up and just click OK.
17. Now, for you to see if it is already on the desktop, drag the edge of the window to the left to show your Desktop.

21. Once you see the shortcut of your Web Disk then it means you were able to save it.
22. If you want to launch or open Web Disk, you just need to double click on the icon on your desktop.
23. To have your windows in a full screen view again, simply drag the edge of your window to the right.
