This is a tutorial about managing Front Page Extensions in WHM. Read through and follow the steps:
1. This is a tutorial on managing FrontPage extensions in Web Host Manager or WHM.
2. First, you have to log in to WHM because this tutorial assumes that you’ve already logged in. Now, to start the tutorial here’s a brief description of what a FrontPage extension is. It is only installed in accounts where FrontPage will be the program used to create the website. If FrontPage will not be used, do not install the FrontPage extension.
3. Click the FrontPage link. You will see new screen with three links. The “Install FrontPage Extensions”, “Install FrontPage Mail Extensions” and “Uninstall FrontPage Extensions”; you can install or uninstall FrontPage Extensions to your account here. Be reminded that customers can do this with their own accounts themselves from their cPanel control panel.
4. Click the “Install FrontPage Extensions” link.
5. Select abc123.com as an example account to be used to install the FrontPage extensions.
6. Then click Install. That’s it; the FrontPage extensions have been installed in the abc123.com account. Once you’ve installed FrontPage extension to your account, you should keep in mind that files should only be uploaded to that account using FrontPage and HTTP uploading method. The use of FTP method may damage the extensions and might require you to re-install it again.
7. Go back to the FrontPage screen.
8. Click the “Uninstall FrontPage Extensions” link.
9. Select the abc123.com account then scroll down.
10. Click Uninstall. The FrontPage extensions have now been removed from this account.
11. Go back to the FrontPage screen again.
12. Click the “Install FrontPage Mail Extensions” link
13. Click Proceed. The FrontPage Mail extensions have been installed for any account to use it.
14. This is the end of the demo on managing FrontPage extensions in WHM.
