Web host servers can be customized to private name servers in Dynadot.com. This tutorial will help you in the process of creating your own private name servers.
Here are the steps to create a private name server at Dynadot.com:
1. This guide provides information on creating private name servers at Dynadot.com.
2. Assuming that you already have a domain name listed at Dynadot.com which starts from their main page, you will now be able to create a “customized” name server for your domain . In order to do this, it is required to have one domain listed within its original registry. For example, if you want to create ns1.yourdomain.com, the website yourdomain.com must be listed in this registry. Click on the My Account link.
3. Type in your Dynadot.com username and password in the boxes provided.
4. Type in “demowolf” as your username.
5. Enter your password and click Sign in.
6. You should now be logged in to your Dynadot.com account. Click the Domain Names link.
7. Click the Name Servers link above the page.
8. Click the Register a Domain Name Server link.
9. Enter the new name server name in the Host field.
10. Type in ns1.demo789.info in the box and its new associated IP address in the IP address field. Your web host should provide you with your IP address.
11. Enter 66.197.205.246 and click the Submit button to create the name server. Once you are done creating this name server, you should repeat all the steps above to create the second one. It is always required to register at least two distinct name servers (for example, ns1 and ns2) with their own unique IP addresses. Keep in mind that when you submit this new information to the registry, you will need to wait for 24-48 hours due to the propagation process.
This is the same waiting period like in new domain registrations.
12. This demo lesson ends here. You are now equipped with information that will enable you to register private name servers. Take note that private name servers can only be created for domain names that are also listed within the registry.
