Suspending and unsuspending accounts are usually based on rule violations set by the host.
This tutorial provides an easy step by step guide on how to suspend and an account in WebHost Manager (WHM):
1. Sign in to your WHM account.
2. To suspend a hosting account, click the “Account Functions” link.
3. Then click the “Suspend/Unsuspend an Account” link.
(A page will appear wherein the user can suspend a presently hosted account or unsuspend a previously suspended account.)
4. To suspend an account, select the account to suspend at the domain box; or select the account’s username at the user list. For this list “newdomain.com” and “newdomai” are the examples.
5. Indicate the reason for suspension for future references; click the text box beside “Reason.”
6. Type the reason in the text box. Then click the “Suspend” button, a new window will appear saying that the account has been suspended.
(When somebody browses the suspended account’s website, they will see the suspended account message.)
The suspended account page can be customized by selecting the “Modify Suspended Account Page” link at the left lower menu box of the screen.
7. Click the “List Suspended Accounts” link at the left of the window. A page showing the suspended accounts will appear in the page indicating the account name, reason for suspension, and date and time the suspension has been made.
(This page also allows the suspension and termination of account.)
8. Click the “Suspend/Unsuspend an Account,” to go to the menu page.
9. To unsuspend an account/domain, select the account for example “newdomain.com.”
10. Click the “Unsuspend” button. A window will appear saying that the suspension has been removed.
11. Click “Home” link at the top toolbar to go back to the main menu.
12. This ends the demo on the procedure of suspending and unsuspending accounts in WHM.
